Summary of position:
Under the direct supervision of the Common Service Officer the range of duties may include;

• Performing a variety of administrative and financial functions in support of the Common Service section;
• Performing a variety of Property / Procurement activities supporting the Common Service section;
• Supporting ongoing program activities in the Common Service section;
• Responding to requests from internal and external clients by providing general information and/or front line assistance.
• Providing and/or creating information and/or documentation;

Essential qualifications:
Applicants must clearly demonstrate on their application that they meet all of the essential qualifications.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
• Fluency in English (both written and oral)
• Fluency in Turkish (both written and oral)
• A minimum of 2 years recent* experience working in an office environment
• A minimum of 2 years recent* experience with providing client service
• Experience working with office software such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

*Recent Experience is referred to as within the last 5 years.

Rated qualifications:

Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications:

• Knowledge of French

• Experience in property and /or facility management
• Experience in procurement
• Experience working in an Embassy, Consulate or Multi-National Company

Organizational Needs:

Operational Requirements:
• Ability to work overtime.
• Annual leave may be restricted due to operational needs
• Requirement to undergo training and obtain (and maintain) security clearances
• As a member of the Canadian diplomatic presence abroad, required to adhere to Canada's Code on Values & Ethics.
• Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week

Condition(s) of Employment:
• Able to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Clearance (ERC). Please note that ERC must be maintained throughout your employment at the Embassy, as failure to do so may result in dismissal.
