Summary of position:
Under the general supervision of the Senior Trade Commissioner, performs a variety of administrative support functions for the Singapore office; covering a diverse, challenging and often technical workload. Areas of responsibility include: providing a full range of administrative and secretarial support for the office and other duties when necessary.

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree from university, OR an acceptable equivalent through the combination of education and work experience. At least two (2) years of recent* working experience.
* “recent” is defined as within the last five (5) years

Language:
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Experience:
• Experience working in a fully computerized office environment.
• Experience dealing with the general public.

• Previous experience in an international organization
• Ability to read, write and speak French and Chinese

Hours of work: Mondays-Thursday: 08:00 to 16:30
Fridays: 08:00 to 13:30

The successful candidate must:
• Have a valid “Reliability Status”, security check is required prior to appointment as well as a medical examination. The required level of security clearance must be maintained throughout the employment period.
• Be able to work legally in Singapore at the time of application. The High Commission does not sponsor employment passes.
• Be able and committed to working additional hours as required, and on short notice, and may include evenings and weekends.
