Term Details:
This position is a LES (Locally Engaged Staff) position, subject to the Terms and Conditions of Employment for LES in the Czech Republic. This position is permanent – full time 37.5 hrs/week Hours of work: Monday to Thursday: 08h00-16h30; Friday 08h00-14h00 (includes 30 minute unpaid lunch).

Summary of position:
Under the general supervision of the Common Services Officer (CSO) with primary responsibilities for the following:

Provides accounting and financial services to the mission by:
1. maintaining financial data,
2. financial coding and processing invoices for payment;
3. completing the deposit and recording of all public funds

Provides HR support to the mission by:
1. assisting with staffing and recruitment processes,
2. preparing employment and pay certificates,
3. maintaining personnel files

Provides administrative support:
1. Communicating, liaising and corresponding with key contacts clearly,
2. Research and compilation of materials as requested



Essential qualifications:
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.

Language:

• Fluency in English (oral & written) C1
• Fluency in Czech (oral & written) C2

Education:
• Completed secondary education (Maturita) or higher.

Experience:

At least 2 years experience providing financial, human resources or administrative support in an office environment

Rated Requirements
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures;
• Knowledge of file and information management,
• Knowledge of MS Office software applications,
• In-depth knowledge of Excel

Abilities/Competencies:

• Ability to accurately prepare charts, tables or plans in Word and Excel;
• Ability to plan, control and organize and prioritize day-to-day tasks and deliverables

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications:
• Ability to speak French
• Experience working in an international organization
• Knowledge of SAP

Condition(s) of Employment:
• Candidates must have a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period. If the employment is indeterminate, the work authorization should be permanent.
