Summary of position:
Under the direction of the Common Services Officer (Property and Materiel), the incumbent is responsible for arranging and maintaining the cleanliness of the equipped offices inside the chancery buildings. On some occasions, he/she may also be required to perform duties at the Official Residence or at one of our staff quarter, as well as to supervise outside contractors.

Essential qualifications:
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and Curriculum Vitae (CV) how they meet each of these essential qualifications. Only candidates who meet all the Essential Requirements will proceed to the next stage of the process.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience

• Fluency in Dutch (oral and written)
• Intermediate level in English (oral)

• Minimum two years of experience in a paid domestic role (house cleaning) or with a cleaning company.

Rated Requirements:
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written or online examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations, psychometric assessment and/or reference checks.

• Perform routine cleaning schedules;

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.
• Experience working in an Embassy, international organization, large corporate or non-governmental organisation environment.

Operational Requirements:
• Candidates should have the flexibility to work overtime in case of emergencies or when required to cover periods of annual leave.

Condition(s) of Employment:
• Candidates must have a valid work permit at the time of submitting their application and must have a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period.
• The appointment of the successful candidates is subject to obtaining security clearance.
